WE WON’T MEET AGAIN !

After spending a week with her parents, Catherine was packing everyone’s stuffs to travel back.

Suddenly, she heard the door bell ringing. Her mom was feeding her bedridden father, so she went downstairs and opened the door. There she found nobody, but an envelope lying on the floor with nothing on it. She took it with suspicion and opened it. She found an untidy piece of paper with something written on it.

Dear Cath,
Long time no see.
I know it’s been 5 years since I haven’t sent anything to you.
It’s not convenient for me to write everything in this letter. I’ll explain everything in detail once we meet. I hope you’ll forgive me after listening everything.
We can be together forever and this time I won’t leave you again. I promise.
I know it’s been too long and I wouldn’t have written this. But I still remember the words you told me before I went to the sea, “Dan, I’ll wait for you no matter what”.
I love you Cath.

Catherine read the letter. She felt like she could hear the faster rhythm of her heartbeats. Her eyes clouded with tears.

“Mom, Dad is here.”- Little Ben shouted with ecstasy.
Catherine crushed the paper and cleared her face in a rush. And thrown the crumbled paper into the garden trash can.
“What was that honey?”- asked Gabriel.
“Something l was supposed to receive earlier.”-Catherine smiled.
“Huh?”- Gabriel affectionately carried Ben.
“A response from an old client. But the case is closed already. Leave it. Come inside.”- Catherine kissed both of them on their forehead and invited him affectionately.

Nobody noticed the man across the road, who was watching them. He walked back in dissapointment. His cellphone vibrated.

“Hello Tom”
“Hey Daniel, We are about to leave. By the way, did you meet her?”
“No. She has got a family. She has moved on.”-Daniel sighed.
“Oh! So no plans on meeting her again?”-
“I still love her,care for her. So I don’t wanna make things harder for her. We won’t meet again. And ask the crew to wait a little longer. Nothing left for me to do on the land. I’m coming back to the sea.”
Daniel walked away
